The Pacific Crest Trail, or PCT, is one of the most popular long-distance trails in the United States or even in the world.
With roughly 4,260 kilometers it winds its way from Campo at the Mexican border, through the Mojave Desert in California, into the mountains of the Sierra Nevada and Cascades, through Oregon and Washington, where it then reaches its northern terminus at Manning Park, British Columbia, in Canada.
Typically, and this is always up to intentions, individual preferences of hikers, and bodies keeping up on a walk like the PCT, the average thru-hiker will spend between 4 months (quick) and 6 months (average to slow) on trail.
